Term 1

This term we have been really busy settling in to Nursery, exploring our classroom and making lots of new friends.

Rice

We have had a fantastic time exploring the rice, talking about full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty.

Have a go a dying some rice at home, we used 3 teaspoons of white vinegar and some food colouring.

Italian Day

Nursery have had a wonderful time celebrating Italian Day!

We learnt about Giuseppe Arcimboldo a famous Italian Artist,

he made his pictures by painting different fruit we were inspired by his art work and decided to make some of our own.

We had a fantastic time feeling and describing the multicoloured spaghetti

                 'it is very slimy'

Then we made mini pizza’s with Mrs Ormrod.

In the afternoon we had a party with Reception, ate our pizza’s and danced to Italian music.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

The children baked some cakes with Mrs Ormrod for our Tea Party for the Macmillan Nurses

We then had a lovely party

We spoke about how Nurses look after people who are poorly.
