Wellbeing and Mental Health

Every mind matters
The every mind matters website was updated last week and is a really helpful online resource. It’s easy to use and there is expert advice and practical tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing. What I like is that everything is in one place and there are lots of great video’s and links to NHS resources.

There are tips on looking after children and young people, tackling working from home, tips if you are worried about coronavirus and also how to look after your mental wellbeing at home. There are also some 10-minute home workouts which are great.

Another great service available is an online service, Kooth.com, which is now available in Salford for 11 to 18 year olds who are struggling with their mental health, particularly during the coronavirus outbreak. If you work with families and young people, or if you know any young people in this age group who are struggling, please let them know about this new free service. They can find out more and sign up at Kooth.com. The service is available to all 11 to 18 year olds who live in Greater Manchester. You can find out about other support available for young people in Salford here.
